With mechanics similar to software as a service (SaaS), RaaS offers illegitimate programs that make it possible to perpetrate a ransomware attack. Once the RaaS has been acquired, the buyer can unleash a ransomware attack and, if successful, take control of a third party’s computers or even servers (companies, individuals, etc.) by encrypting access to them. From then on, he can ask for a ransom or make any other decision.
